Ford Motor Company is a
super company offering some of the most popular cars and trucks
available on the market today.
However, when to comes to their toll-free customer center, they
lose a few points. The main complaint is their menu of options and
sub-menus to get to the right department.
Interestingly
enough, Toll Free Operator is hearing one complaint, which spans
some of the most popular toll free numbers. The number one complaint
is the need to press any button to conduct your call in English.
The solution - offer toll free numbers for specific languages. Offer
one main toll free number for English and another for Spanish etc.
however, have a human answering the incoming call as consumers appear
to be getting fed up with punching in numbers on their phones to
get to the correct department.
Ford Motor Company
has a main menu followed by sub-menus. Complaints range from not
knowing that the VIN of a customer's automobile may be needed (at
some point during the call) to dealers, which refer their customers
to Ford's main toll free customer service for help.
The
following are the most recent Ford Motor Company comments received.
What
I can say about Ford Motor Company? The toll free number is nothing
but one button push for this and another for that and then another
button push and then it's hold time. What really bothers me about
calling any toll free number is the intro message asking me press
#1 for english. That's just the first choice and then we go on from
there through various menus. Has anyone ever considered simply picking
up the telephone at Ford and saying "how may we help you"
and then route your telephone call to the correct department? For
once, I would like to hear human answering the phone as opposed
to listening to a computer offering me instructions on how to use
my telephone.

Called
Ford's toll free number and it's not user-friendly at all. I get
through an entire of menu of touching numbers, hit the wrong number
and I'm back to square one. I like Ford's products but their toll
free customer service is nothing to rave about.

Okay,
called Ford Motor Company and it would have been nice to be warned
at the beginning of the call that I might want to have the VIN of
my car handy (just in case). I spent ten minutes waiting to be helped
and then had to run out to my car to get my registration so I could
give them my VIN number to get the help I needed. Not a good experience.

I've
been a Ford man all of my life however, I just might think twice
when I go to trade in my car later this year. I think that if you
buy a car from any dealership then that's who should offer you ALL
of the service you need. I don't have time to sit on the phone and
wait forever to get an answers to my questions. Dealer did not want
to be bothered so they gave me the toll free number. I called and
got nowhere. How about some real customer service Ford?

How
about some live people answering the phone when it rings? I'm just
so tired of calling toll free numbers and getting caught in a loop
of never ending button pushing. I called Ford and missed a few of
the button selections and had to start over by re-dialing their
toll free number and listening to a menu of choices. I always try
to skip these time wasting intros by just clicking ZERO, sometimes
it works, sometimes not.

Bought
a new Ford truck and needed to call Ford customer service. I simply
got tired of waiting for someone (anyone) pick up the telephone.
Called back again, same thing. Finally called the dealer and they
helped me out with my problem. A bit disappointed with Ford toll
free customer service. .

I
just don't get the need to put customers (spending tens of thousands
of dollars) through a barrage of buttons to get through to the right
person or department? Ford makes plenty of money and should take
a long hard look at their lousy customer service.

While
I am dissatisfied with Ford's customer service, I love my new car.
Ford Motor Credit customer service is very helpful however, the
main Ford customer service number is cumbersome. it's getting to
the right department that's somewhat difficult and the hold time
can be pretty long.
